From Pearl to One-of-a-Kind Creation
One pearl becomes a one-of-a-kind creation. Many pearls become a necklace.
Every pearl necklace is handcrafted with care – step by step, pearl by pearl.
In my workshop, jewellery is not simply assembled. It is thoughtfully composed, carefully connected and patiently brought to completion. The result is jewellery with character that reflects the personality of the person who wears it.
The Composition on the Beading Board
It all begins with arranging the pearls. The future composition of the necklace takes shape on the beading board – this is where the selection of pearls, their arrangement and the length of the piece are determined.

Stringing the Pearls
In the next step, the high-quality pearl thread is cut to length and fitted with a fine, flexible needle.
As the holes in the pearls are often only around 0.7 mm in diameter, this stage requires particular precision. The previously defined sequence is now followed exactly – any later change is no longer possible.

The Prepared Necklace
After stringing, the necklace reveals its complete basic form – ready for the next decisive step: knotting between each individual pearl.

Knotting
Each pearl is individually hand-knotted at LARUSCA Perlenschmuck®.
This traditional technique not only gives the necklace a particularly elegant appearance, but also improves its security: should the thread ever break, only a single pearl could come loose from the necklace.
Knotting requires great precision, experience and a delicate touch – each knot is placed so that it sits gently against the pearl.

Throughout the entire process, the work is continuously checked to ensure high quality and consistent workmanship.

Protection and Connection
At the ends of the necklace, a fine hollow wire is used to protect the pearl thread and prevent chafing. A delicate loop is then formed, to which the clasp will later be attached.

Finally, the last pearls are secured using a special knotting technique and the necklace is carefully completed.
